Welcome to The Marriage Deal!

Love or loathe - we'll make it work!

The Marriage Deal is an exciting upcoming TV sitcom that brings together six wildly different personalities in a comedic ensemble. Picture “The Proposal” as a TV show! At its heart are two groups of friends:

  • Natalie Adler, a German expatriate, is on the brink of losing her visa. Her best friends, Ben and Tony, a loving gay couple, are navigating their own relationship challenges.
  • Oliver Dodge, a charming bartender, has just gambled away his savings and desperately needs cash. His colleague Jazz faces the dilemma of asking their friend Jake to move out.

Despite their differences—European vs. American, white vs. blue collar, city vs. country—Natalie and Dodge find common ground. They decide to marry, opening the door to a whirlwind of comedic challenges.

Bringing people together through comedy!

Nothing beats having fun together!

The Marriage Deal is about the little compromises we make with loved ones to get along. It’s about working through challenges and appreciating what we have. Filming in the Midwest reflects the values we cherish and want to share in our show.

A grassroots approach to filmmaking

From the audience, for the audience

Our innovative approach involves cultivating a community around our characters before the cameras even start rolling. By building our characters and our audience from the ground up, we can create a show free from studio politics or other agendas – a show that is simply here to entertain you! Our commitment to collaboration with local talent and businesses further enriches our storytelling, making Marriage Deal not just a show, but a shared experience.

Development

The journey of bringing a film or TV project to life kicks off with development. A great story idea is just the starting point. From there, it’s all about honing it, distilling it to its core, and then diving deep into the conflict at its heart. This process takes time, a knack for screenwriting and storytelling, loads of experience, and countless rewrites.

Once the script is polished and ready, we can dive into crafting a budget and production plan. That also includes acquiring funding and often times even distribution. That’s why most projects never make it past this stage.

Pre-production

Pre-production is all about laying the groundwork before the cameras roll. This phase includes casting, assembling the crew, scouting locations, and planning every detail—from looks to shots, stunts, and visual effects. The more thorough the preparation, the better the chances of everything coming together smoothly. This stage can take months or even years, but it’s crucial for crafting a successful film or show.

Production

This is the exciting (and a bit stressful) phase when we’re on set filming the show! Filming days are filled with dynamic elements, from weather and lighting to technical hurdles, camera movement, and background details. While blockbuster productions might have hundreds on set, our team will be smaller but mighty, ensuring every aspect is covered to deliver the best production possible!

Post-Production

Once everything is complete, we’ll connect with distributors to find the best way to bring our show to your screens at home. With countless options available between cable and streaming, we’ll work diligently to choose the ideal platform so you can enjoy “Marriage Deal”!

Distribution

When it’s all done, we will be talking to distributors for the best way to get our show onto your screens at home. Between cable and streaming, there are endless opportunities to distribute a show these days and we’ll do our best to find the best one so you can all watch Marriage Deal!
